This week, we have a combined night with Ettamogah Rovers, who are running Frisbee Golf for us. Details as follows:
Where: Moorleigh Community Village, Bignell Rd, East Bentleigh (down the road from the Mirage Hall - Melway 78 B5, Google Map here)
When: Tuesday April 20th, 7.30 till 9.30
What to bring: Yourself, your uniform, and any frisbees you may have
What's happening: There will be a 12-14 hole course set up around the park, Venturers will be in groups of 3 or 4 and every group will have a Rover taking them around. It will be dark, but we'll have LEDs attached to frisbees and to mark out the tees and goals.
The aim is like golf, the person and team with the lowest number of throws to complete the course wins, and will probably get prizes.
See you all there!
First night of Term 2 - Double the program!
Welcome back to Term 2!
This Tuesday night, we have 2 different programs lined up - double the program!
Program option 1:
For those who want to get cracking on their Queen's Scout Award, Rachel and I will be available all night to answer questions, and help you start planning out what you need to do to get it done.
Program option 2:
Bigger/Better Night! You start with a small object and go door to door around the neighbourhood, asking people if they will swap what you have for something either bigger, or better. See what you end up with at the end of the night!
Details for both options:
Where: Mirage Hall (Bignell Rd, East Bentleigh)
When: 7:30 - 9:30 (regular time)
Wear: Uniform (for those doing Bigger/Better, this is important - people will freak out less about you knocking on their door if you're in Scout uniform)
Cost: Nil

Hike 17-18 April
Dear Venturers,
Just a reminder that we have a hike programmed from 17-18 of April. I am still available to come along to assist you (i.e. drive up x1 carload), and to help with planning.
However, I won't plan this hike. If you guys want to get it happening, it's up to you to get back to me with a plan of:
- Where do you want to go? - We were talking about the Cathedral Ranges
- How are we going to get there?
- What gear you're going to take (what do you need to borrow from the den/unit?)
- Organise maps (I may be able to help you out here, or at least point you in the right direction)
- Do you need to book campsites?
- Who's organising menus/food/cooking gear?
I'm more than happy to help out, but you guys need to be the one's with the momentum and the plans to get this hike happening.
Feel free to give me a call (number below) if you want to talk about this more. If I haven't heard from anyone by the end of Tuesday, I'll assume it's not on. Keep in mind Tuesday is cutting it VERY fine to begin organising... so if you're serious about this, get onto it now!
Cheers,
Rach
